CHRISTMAS IN CLARKSVILLE

Around the holiday season is when Clarksville sees the greatest increase in need for homeless and low income in the community.  During this holiday season we want to give to those students in transition (homeless students) and low income students that will not be receiving Christmas gifts, that need coats or just need food (perishable items).  Flourishing Families 3rd Annual Christmas in Clarksville is an event whose proceeds go to help the homeless and low income students and families in the Clarksville Montgomery County School System.  Last year we had 64 families to participate in this event.  They left with gifts, food, Christmas decorations and HOPE.  

We have partnered with 5 Star radio for gifts for this event, but we will need more gifts for the amount of students we expect to see this year.  Currently we already have 320 students in transition (as of December 5) that will be invited to this event, however there are many other students that are not being tracked that are also homeless and low income that our organization already assists.
